Luminar 4 (and I bought 元 last year as a US$65 upgrade so I have two programs And it changed edits because algorithms changed without preserving the previous one (again complete losses ensued) numerous times and then they dropped the separate storage option which again meant loss of previous edits - that costs amounts to decades of Adobe subscription alone! Given that Luminar has cost me days of work trying to make it work, then cost me that very work in crashes that lost the edits. Even the cheapest subscription (just PS & LR) is US$9.99 x 12 = US$119.88 which is around US$50 more than I paid for ON1 and US$30 more than Luminar 4 (and I bought 元 last year as a US$65 upgrade so I have two programs for US$135 which would have been 2 years subscription to LR (I have never used PS) for US$240.
#On1 photo raw 2021 problems software
I get people not wanting to "rent" the software but when put into perspective it is actually a good deal. It would cost even more if you then paid for the upgrades. I remember it being that if you paid the monthly subscription for Photoshop CC it would take about 5 years or so to pay what it used to cost to pay outright for Photoshop (just photoshop not the entire collection). In all honesty, I ran the numbers a while back. has a warning thread on here re Luminar 4 dead ending 元. It's retouching tools lag though and sometimes give inaccurate colours so I often go back to Luminar 3 for those (again not perfect but better). That said I switched to ON1 recently and really like the controls, far more finesse than Luminar's heavy handed approach, and especially like ON1's masking. Luminar haven't improved some aspects from the first version IMHO. CharlyW has a warning thread on here re Luminar 4 dead ending 元.

I’ve noticed some other apps like topaz sharpen AI take an extraordinarily long period of time to run(like two minutes or so to sharpen an image). I’ll try a reinstall and see what happens. On my 2014 iMac, it took 10.6 seconds for the program to load and display the photo library. I just installed the new version and it is very slow to load, If you have to pay for the latest version to get bug fixes then you might as well stick with Adobe. I did not like how they would move on to the next paid release without fixing bugs in the current/previous releases. I was onboard with the 2018 version but decided to ditch the software. I just installed the new version and it is very slow to load, I can't seem to load the LUT's, it fails during the import process and it seems to be a bug-filled mess.
